Since the beginning of our marriage, Abby and I (Michael), have worked to maintain three core family values. These values have become the primary inspiration for Common Place and hopefully showcase our hearts for the people in our city.

Common Place exists to create common spaces where all people can come to gather, be inspired and receive practical education on how to foster creativity in their own lives, while investing in the flourishing of their neighborhood and city.

Gather

Abby and I decided that there was no place more common than our home. We hope that with a cup of coffee in your hand and in the comfort of an open home, we can begin to share in the Joy of Gathering with other people in our community.

Inspire

Each gathering will feature a local artist and their story. We believe that as we begin to listen to the creative voices in our community, we will begin to collectively experience the Art of Inspiration. Filling our own lives with beauty and wonder, as well as paving the way for others.

Educate

Creating space to create - for the creative and proclaimed uncreative to experience the Gift of Education. Each guest in our home will have the opportunity participate in slowing down and creating to better learn how to connect with beauty through art.

Common Place emails will include personal writings, updates, and announcement of events and gatherings.
